Twuz wonderin' what was required fer enthusiasts to become a member of Team Gates. Should have the s-10 ready in another month or so *fingers crossed*.
Definately not an SPL Monster, more of an SQ / SQ+ truck: AudioArt 340.6; Vifa 8s (2), Eclipse 6.5s, and Infinity Reference 4x6s w/ a Blau CD Head unit. Enough to be a decent sounding daily driver, but nothing to make heads turn in the lanes. Unless, of course, someone else remembers AudioArt amps .

Hello and thanks for asking. I opened Team Gates up last year. There is a post somewhere in this forum. Anyway, below is what is posted on my web site.
"I have been asked about the requirements for becoming a member of Team Gates. This is the post from TeamGates.org. I hope it clarifies things for you who have questions.
Patrick and I decided that we would like to share and encourage more people to get involved in the sport. Many competitors do not belong to a known organized team and truthfully many will not get on them - because they require using certain products, attend certain shows, win so many events, etc., and that is great for those. But we want people to go out - compete, and have fun.
We came up with a few simple requirements, which are:
1. Sportsmanship 2. Promote your products 3. Promote your organization(s) 4. Promote the industry 5. NO PRODUCT BASHING 6. * Make a conscience effort to operate system in a non-obtrusive manner. 7. *Respect rights of others 8. Vehicle open (during finals - some competitors had their cars tampered with - this is unacceptable. We recommend that competitors use their own judgment on this one. I feel anyone caught tampering with systems should be kicked out of competition..Period!) 9. Willingness to talk to people 10. Willingness to help others 11. Have fun 12. Admended:::You must like cheesecake, but can substitute that for Brownies, Belgium waffles or belgium pancakes! (those things with ice cream and chocolate syrup are out of this world!)
If you can comply to these requirements, which are not as easy as they appear, let me know. It's that easy. We have nothing to sell and require nothing (no blood type, first child, etc.) except being an ambassador to Team Gates and the Industry.
I am sure as we go on, you will come up with others that might help to make us all better competitors and at least put the thought in the minds of others. Thanks...."

lol - you would be surprised who are members of Team Gates. Mark is now with JBL in case you are interested as is Gary Biggs. We should have new pictures up of their installs once they are finished. The guys are working trying to get those two beauties finished for the world to see.
We have over 400 members worldwide now. It's exciting and frightening at the same time.
Anyone interested in joining just needs to email me and agree to the rules - thats all there is to it. No cost..just pure old team spirit and a love for this crazy industry.
