Alma, my favorite of all setups was back in 1998 when I first got into car audio, and was totally in awe at your '98 PC series powered setup (in my opinion one of the best amps ever made). I am curious as to what became of all of the PC1400 amplifiers you guys ran in the bronco (I used to think they were 2350's but later was told you ran the monoblocks). Did PPI take back and sell them before the old *real * PPI sold out? No doubt DEI is a great company but IMO there will never be anything like the fanaticsism of the original.

I also think the 98 version of the Bronco was the best of all. It was beautiful, legal, and loud. The only PPI amps used in the Bronco were the old art series in 1996 PPI replaced them in 1997 with the 2350s. I had paid for everything in the bronco in 1996. The products remained with the bronco after we left PPI and I have given the pro 10s to different shows to be raffled off and the proceeds have gone to local charities. Most of the amps were stolen when our shop was broken into several years ago. The Amps were wired mono, so whoever took them has gotten a nice surprise. There will always be a very special place in my heart for the old PPI and all the great memories. Those were great days.

You are most welcome. Just thought of something. We had 46 of the flat pistons and 24 of the amps. That was always a conversation piece for anyone who decided to count.
One amp was just there to balance out the amp design and was not connected.

I have one of your autographed 10s, I bought it in a charity auction last year.
Do you know if there's any chance of getting a PPI poster, the one with the huge pic of the Silver Bronco? I'd love to have it for display in our store with the woofer.

I have a poster of the Bronco from the outside. It does have pin holes in it, but it is in pretty good shape. I think I got it at the '97 or '98 USACi World Finals. Not sure if that is what is wanted or not.

For general information, I have five more shows this season and the bronco will be permanently retired. It will be in Atlanta, Ga. for NOPI, the Last RoundUp in Texas, Db Drag and USACI finals and SEMA in LasVegas. I am hoping to put it in a museum of some type. Kicker has purchased a huge facility -something like 4 acres under roof and it's possible they may make arrangements for it to be displayed there for people to see. It has become a Kicker Beast, just as it was the PPI Beast ..I always find it interesting that people identify a car with the woofers and tend to forget all the products necessary to make those woofers work. (oh well)
So, Thank you Panasonic, Tsunami, Dynamat, DEI and Powermaster for all your support with this monster. Without all of you, the Beast would be very quiet.
I do not want to sell it or destroy it and would like for it to stay as it it now. Anyway, this beast will be retired after 2003.

Hummmmm, I cant imagine a new beast. I have seen the bronco several times and each time I have enjoyed the looks on each person who have had the chance to experience SPL in a whole new light(even though the beast is not my own, I still enjoy the looks). I will have to try to make the trip to K.C. MO to see the beast one last time. I now regret not taking pictures of the last few times seeing the beast. Especially of the Bronco in the lanes on the 2 occasions I saw it. Spring Break Nationals 2000 and MECA World Finals 2002. I realize the Beast will not be taken apart or destroyed so I know it will be around for some time.
Looking forward to seeing the new beast in the future. I wish you the best of Luck on the new adventure, challenge, and design for you and your Crew. May the new creation top all others.
P.S. CheeseCake anyone??
