hey.. we are working and a Db drag car, we've been kinda playing around this past year, but anyways what would we have to do to get a sponser?

Sponsorship is difficult to get. You need something a company can use.

I would suggest putting together a resume which includes Who you are, What you want and What you can give in returen, Where you want to go with your project, When you plan on doing this, and Why you want to use their products. Just remember, nothing is ever free.

Basics - who, what, when, where, why

Make it look good, be short and to the point, add pictures of what you have done - select the companies you are interested in and be honest with them. Send it out and just remember - these companies are not going to come calling - follow up with a call or email.

Sponsorship in SPL is somthing u carn't count on it is just a bonus that you may get.
