First off, I was going to pick up a DD Audio 3515. It wasnt too pricey. The expensive part was buying an amp to power that sub. So I have given up on the expensive amp and DD sub for now. At least until I have the financial backings to do so!

But I looked around for other 15 inch subs that would perform nicely and I ran into the 15 Kicker CompVR dual 2ohm. Great sub from what I see and from what people are saying. Its not an L7 or L5 but I cant really afford those right now either.

Also the amp to power it will be significantly less expensive, which makes buying the sub and amp easier on the pockets! Anybody got any Kicker CompVR 15's??? I was wondering if you could back up what Ive already heard.

Well I dont have them but my brother does and he has a RF 800.2 powering it and he has been very happy with the subs tearing off his rear view mirror [Wink] and the great response from his friend and well the negative response also..(from the guys that cant believe my brother is louder that is!!). Well build the box to specs and you should be very happy. Good luck and contact the kicker techs if you should need any help..laters and SEE YA

back in 2000 I ran 4 15" comp vr subs in a 5 cubic foot for each sub ported,so i had 20 cubic feet total in a chevette no wall running off of belive it or not an American Legacy 1400 hundred watt amp.The amp was only actually producing 762 bridged at 2 ohms and the enclosure was tuned 40hz it peaked at 48hz with a db of 154.2!
This is great concidering the subs were only $129.00 Apiece new and the amp was $160.00 new
Not bad for $676.00 worth of equipment for a 154.2db.

nope 1999. same year as the round solos. the model for that guy was most likely c15d. the parameters can be found on winisd beta (not the pro version).

Mine were the comp vr single 4 ohm, and thank you guys for backing me up. They played deep and hard. 20 cubes was music to my ears!
