Hello Alma, I think the Beast is a great vehicle and congratulations for the work. I hope it continues to encourage people to follow the car audio scene.
I would like to ask you if you could answer me a question. Could the Beast in any way play infrasonic sound at a high enough level to disable a person

No, competition cars are optimized for bass, not infrasonics.

The bronco is designed for bass - it's frequency now is about 47hz. We were able to do damage to insects in 1997 when we were involved with a scientific experiment for Analyical Research. We have never tried anything on other living creatures - nor do we plan to. I do think we could do major damage to something locked in the bronco at full power because the system is pure power, and sealed, the enclosure is basically airtight.

You are a great inspiration Alma

Demolition? LOL - we have been able to "shake" a few things - like that huge screen at CES this year. The owner of Metra/Tsunami said he would have been happy to pay for the expenses and lawsuit if we had broken that thing. We just did one little burp and it caused quite a reaction. We try so hard to be very good at these shows, but every once in a while, you just gotta slip one little burp in. LOL That one was all Davids' fault!

Some people you just cannot take anywhere.

Thankyou for your reply.
Alma is it dangerous to listen to the Bronco for long periods of time due to vibrations and hearing damage.
Does the Bronco have more viscaral impact due to the multiple woofers?
Bronco rules.

Bug pests destroy something like 24% of all stored food crops before they get to the processing plants. Pesticides are being outlawed in the near future because of health concerns. The Analytical Research group thought they could construct some type of sound pressure chamber that would either kill or sterilize bug best with the use of sound pressure. They asked if we would be willing to let them use the bronco for research because we were the closest to a true sound pressure chamber available.

We stopped in Gainesville, Florida on the way to SBN in 1997. The group met us at US Amps and we did some testing for them using high and low frequencies. It's exciting just to think that we might be a tiny part of helping mankind in the future.

The bronco is designed for competition and is not played for long periods of time. We can play it, but when we do, it is not at a high spl level. Spl burps last only a few seconds. We played it all weekend in Las Vegas at CES in January. But we had it adjusted for "real" music and it sounds pretty darn good for 4800 square inches of cone area! Oh yes, we have mids and highs in the doors.

We try to emphasize "safe sound" to people to meet the bronco. Over exposure to any noise can cause hearing loss. Hearing is a very precious sense that people don't think about until they don't have it.

You can visit our web site at www.teamgates.net and see pictures of the bronco doing its thing with hair. Most of those pictures were taken at a show in Lawton, Oklahoma this season.

Chris, we use Waynes db drag cd and it's usually between 47 and 50hz depending on the location and the frequency we need at that time. It varies with location - it has always intrigued me how location, elevation, and climate affects the frequency.

We were talking to Samir at York Imports in Brazil not long ago. We could not agree on some items of discussion - actually - our answers were almost opposite. Then it dawned on us that he is on one end of the earth and I am on the other and we have an equator separating us - I wonder what else we need to take into consideration when talking spl?
