Hey Alma, since you still have all the PPI gear can you give me the formula for the amp cards that were used in the Bronco that helped the 2350s make more power? I remember reading about them back in like '98 in AS&S and always wanted to do something like that with some of my PPI gear.
Just think get 500 watts from a PC225, LOL think the thing would die before that happened but it would be cool to watch.

I am not sure what you are referring to - we had an alumumin sheet between the two amps that we called the amp card - all it did was hold the 2 amps together so we could get 32 in the back of that truck. There was no great secret in the amps - PPI did all the work on them - so other than that card - I really dont know.
You can always call the engineering department at PPI and ask them. If you need a number, let me know.

The cards I was referring to were used for quick changing out if a problem arose but were said to make 2800 watts, maybe AS&S got some bad info or something though, wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yes, it was misinformation - we had 2 - 2350s on each card - the 2350 is rated at 1400 watts - so 2 amps on a card would equal 2800 watts. However, we had 2 -pro 10s per amp - so technically 700 watts running to each woofer. Sometimes its difficult for people to explain in writing what some of us are doing in those cars, as you well know. Bronco was a very simple, open install - nothing magic - yet! (hello wayne)jk

smitty u can just redo the inside of the amp to put out up to 41% more power most amps can do this and ppi is no exception just gotta change out the inductor coils, caps, diodes to handle mroe current and learn to solder very cleanly. making it go over that u will have to redesign the amp and it can get kinda costly the way i said will cost u like $60 max u can go to radio shack or industrial liquidators

we have made like old punch 150's put out 400+ watts easy but then again those are not regulated and ppi is might make a difference i have not trid with a ppi

I know pro, I wouldn't even think of doing suck a thing as changing out internal parts of the amp, what I thought the cards in question were was kinda like a beefed up line driver or something like that, that would just boost signal and therefor boost power, not going inside that is asking for more problems plus if I were to do that there goes a warrenty and resale value uh if there was any to begin with is gone aswell. But hey let him do that, then if he ever does compete and doesn't tell of his mods and gets caught I hope the ban will last a long time.
