I have been a long fan of PPI I am running quite a bit of PPI subs and ams. I feel that they make a great product, well their older equipment. I was wondering if you have ever considered going back to PPI. What were your reasons for leaving the PPI family?

Steve, I didn't leave PPI, the people who purchased PPI, Phaze Audio had a different agenda and we were dropped. So, I guess you can say, I was fired!
No, I could never regain the confort that I had with the old PPI group - they were family and that situation no longer exists. You don't go back, but forwards.
I have nothing but love and respect for the original group at PPI. They are scattered all over the nation now - some still in the industry, many doing things non car audio.
As you probably know, PPI has been sold again and this time to one of my sponsors - DEI - Directed Electronics - and I hope they can restore the status and prestige that PPI had in the Industry at one time.
Thanks for asking.

LOL, Think I will stay with my new (2 years) extended family. They are all great and we all share a common goal. Promote, have fun, and hopefully improve our economy.

Oh gosh you know its funny but I didn't have a clue PPI sold out but I can honestly say that I do not like the newer equipment nearly as much as the older. The PC class was my favorite amp probably because it was the first good amplifiers I owned and was first introduced to them when I began driving. I just missed the Art series adn bought one off of ebay just to try but still I always had a dream of owning a PC2350 but never had the money by the time I did they had switched to the the chrome ones which in my book was a mistake even just cosmetically. Well now I am running MMATS amps but still wish I had a chance to own a 2350 for a bit. ...Alma I say you should do 48 Triple Coil DD 9510's and 144 US Amps 4000X. one per coil!!! 200 dB Alma!!! LOL - As I have told everyone many times - products are a matter of individual taste and preference. It's taken two years to locate people that I am comfortable working with. I have always felt that the people behind the product is what makes it great. My sponsors are all wonderful and I think I will just stay where I am for a while.
So, I think I need say a big "Thank You" to all my sponsors. These people have stood beside me and that Bronco through thick and thin last year, and it was a rough year. I really appreciate it. We are going to have one heck of a 2002.

I wanna see the battery you'd use for this half a megawatt system... But of course I do remember reading up on solar panel systems for houses out of curiousity and found 1200 pound deep cycle batteries Posts: 118 | From: Elk City, ID | Registered: Feb 2002
