good question and probably I am not the one to answer it. Bronco windows are all one inch glass and they cost about $3,000 for the four in 1997. That was very expensive, but at that time I was on a mission. I see some cars with other products and I know they are less expensive but I do not know how much so.
Ok, people, help us out on this one. what do you do to the windows to help spl?

There are several ways to reinforce a windshield. The cheapest way is to add metal strips over the windshield in an effort to minimize vibrations. This method is largely non-effective on larger systems.
The other ways all involve a near total to a complete reconstruction of the front cab. if you are an efficient welder then it is fairly easily done with a combination of a little imagination. You can replace the stock windshield with plexi, glass, or transparent silicon composite (AKA high-tech glass.) It will be up to you to decide what course you want to pursue.
If you have further questions feel free to email me at dbwrecker@aol.com and I will answer them as best as I can.

all so you can use the same plexy they use for the air crafts in most cases it is 3" acrylic stretched to 1" that strathens the window buy compressing the monocles..

The best and probably most effiecient way would be to contact and armored car company and by a pre built windsheild with a frame then all you have to do is cou some metal and do some welding. I think you can also contact Brantly Waites of Waites audio and i think he might have a connection for those replacement windsheilds. Scott Owens

Hey, Scott. I had forgotten about Branley doing those windshields in 1998. Also, found a new button, so dont look for any edit in your message.
