I know your with Kicker right now and that's pretty cool..made right here in Oklahoma where I'm from...I read that you were going to do a SQ car and was just wondering if you have ever thought about working with JL?

Actually, Chad and pat have had the explorer at the last several shows we have shown up at, and yes they are kicking everybodys' butt. Last month at sbn they handed Mark Eldridge a second place (again). The explorer wasn't using JL though. Mainly Xtant and Illusion. Alma, help me out here...

The explorer started last year - Expert 601+ - It took a 5th in IASCA and 3rd at USAC finals. Since then - it took a 1st at the Okla City Regional, first in both USAC and IASCA in Daytona(Mark did not compete) The explorer took a second in Iasca and a First and Best of show in USAC at the MTX/Alice Cooper show. So it is doing ok. Still needs lots of tuning to get to where I would really like to see it. As most of you in SQ knows, it takes lots of work to do SQ and Chad is now adding a few more features for finals.

ok i am not gonna start anything here if so ill ask alma to close this post.. but mlpac... think really hard.. dont you think alma has checked out many different brands.. i would think she is happy with what she is running.. STOP TALKING ABOUT JL AUDIO.. PLEASE. it gets old.. the explorer is doing fine without jl... thanks

What was unclalled for was that last response LOUDSYSTEM. Give the kid a break, he was just asking questions, and giving his opinion abot what he thinks is good product. Lay off of him. Maybe Alma hasn't thought about using JL, maybe she has, who knows, who cares?
Who knows, maybe it would do better with JL? I don't know. I use Illusion in my car, so don't go there.

winslow like i said i am not here to start anything but why dont you go around this termpro.com web page and look at every post mlpac has said something in.. if it does not say jl audio in it then it says that he is better than you etc.. it gets real old.. if i recomend something he will reocmend jl it doesnt matter if what i say is a better product either... like i said just go check stuff out look around..
He just REALLY likes JL. Everyone has their favorites, he just tells us more than most people. I was pretty zealous about my Linear Powers when I got them, but I have claimed down now- maybe he will too.

LOUDSYSTEM, I haven't been doing anything with JL that other people haven't already been doing with Shockers. You think I'm getting old with my JL, look at all the people that talk about Shockers. I may get sick of hearin about Shockers but I don't say anything. You don't have to read everything. I'll recommend or give praise to JL any time I want. And as for Alma, I really don't think she has explored a very big variety of brands. I love Kicker and have had nothing but good experiences with Kicker. All I'm saying is that she could check out some others. Kicker would hit as high and be as loud as any, but I know that there are others that could produce better sound and since she said they were gonna do an sq vehicle I thought I would ask. It would be so cool if Alma did a project with JL or maybe like Digital Designs. It's not like she has just one sponsor. She could do all Kicker in the Bronco and then a whole other vehicle with JL or DD. It's a very good idea, but will probably never happen. It's cool though. I'm just ready to cheer Gates on when they finally finish the new system with all the L7's in it. Should sound pretty good. Peace!

LOLOLOLOL... ok lets think hard about this.. seriously.. ok team gates is about going and competing and being cool with all people in the sport.. but do you hear about team gates choosing a product and not having great results with it????? hmm the bronco owns titles... pats explorer is gettin great placement at the shows.. and thats with what is in it... dont you think that she would of checked out all other brands.. i think so.. she doesnt just choose who ever says here is our product.. thats dumb... oh well.. your a lost cause... sorry... this will prob be my last post on this subject since it will go no where.. i do think you should talk to pat or alma and see what they think of the product.. and it also seems your like well good luck with kicker.. i think you dont like it and dont want to say.. but thats cool. LOUD, how many times do I have to say it? I love Kicker and I use to use it. I'm from OK and they are very popular here. Kickers perform great. All I am saying is that team Gates could also do another ride with a brand that is even better(ex.JL,DD). You keep saying that Alma had to have checked out other options on what to use, well obviously not. Like I said, they will do great with Kicker but I still think I have a good idea and you want to diss all over it. I think this subject is closed pretty much because you are not comprehending what I'm saying. Anyways I'll just wish Alma good luck with the new Kicker ride and leave it at that.

Wow - this is quite a topic! The explorer is our second SQ vehicle. In 1996 Pat took first in Iasca finals - novice 301-600 with the F350 Diesel, Dually, and all that stuff. We had in it 2 - JL 12s, Clarion HU, ID horns, MBQuart mids and highs, PPI amps, etc. So, we have used other products and won with them.
The Explorer is equipped with Illusion speakers - 2 -15s, 2 - 8s, 2 - 5s, and 2 - 1s. Also Illuion Horns in the Dash. It will be coming out with Phoenix gold Amps, and accessories, DEI alarm, Westco Batteries, Panasonic HU and other good stuff, and lots of dynamat. As you can see, we have selected a wide variety of companies - each with very good products.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion.

winslow well i have checked out illusion many times its great porduct.. but i wont be carrying them in my store yet at least and for now i need to run what i carry... so until then hehe the answer is no.. but we both know its very nice stuff... see ya
