I heard that you all went to a couple of schools or to a school, because the kids wanted you to...(or something like that) You all still planning on touring and educating the kids about SPL and Car Audio in general? I think that is much cooler than any records, wins, or sponsorships. Getting young ones involved is an awesome approach. This may be a little far fetched, but in doing that with the kids, you give them a reason to get a job (get money), you give a reason to save money (buy equip.), you give them a reason to go in the right direction and not end up selling drugs or what not..... I know it sounds corny, but I do believe in this...... Give the kids something to hope for, something to dream about. Let them know they can do it, all they have to do is put there minds to it.

So, I was just wondering if you all were planning on touring around again this year or next?

Thanks

Alan Riley

I agree Alrile! Being involved with car audio has helped me out a lot. It gave me something to work for and ways to express my creativity and to channel my energy. And Alma has been probably the best spokesperson for Car Audio that there has been. She has helped open up many minds to something a little different that is extremely enjoyable, with a smile the whole time.

I also agree with what was said. Out of everyone she is has probably the most well known name and truck out there. I will talk to people that dont know the name alma or team gates but when you say..."what about that bronco with the 64 10's"....a light goes off and they are like O Ya!!!!

So thanks for what you have done for this industry..

O ya....I dont see alma stopping the touring anytime soon....Right Alma? (hopes not)

We visited two fifth grade classes in Arizona. Its amazing how well informed these kids are - even though they are not driving. One teacher in Southern Arizona knew my daughter and about our CEMA tour - so he had a complete unit on team gates and that tour. The class followed the bronco from its departure from Phoenix to its return. They had lessons in geography, math, some physics (yes that is right), english (writing) plus more that I am not thinking of at this time. We then went to the school and did a question and answer session - and of course a demo on spl. We were able to stress the concept of safe sound and how over exposure to loud music can do damage to hearing. We also talked about the rights of others relating to very loud music in neighborhoods. I know - its old stuff, but this is the right age to start these kids thinking about getting involved in organized events - ie - db drag, sq, etc.

We have not been involved recently with schools - but I do hope we are able to continue. It was a very small exposure - but at least a few young people will start thinking about what we had to say.

It was a wonderful experience for all of my team.

Thanks for asking.
