I have many friends in the industry. is there anyhone in particular you would like to talk to - either in SPL, SQ or perhaps on the manufacturer level? Not sure if some would be willing to visit - but - you never know unless you dont aak!
As I stated before - I have absolutely no idea what I should be doing in this forum - therefore, lets see what we can get going. Team Gates can go only so far. And as long as Wayne doesnt mind - lets see what we can do to get more interest in here.
So - help me out!!!!!!

I have a question for ya Alma. With your recent move to Kicker and also Mark Eldridges have Team Gates conversed with him in regards to your Explorer? I noticed that you did very well at SBN, who does your tuning when it comes to SQ? I am just curious if you two ever work together at all or what the extent of your relationship is. Thanks.

Thats a darn good question. First of all, Chad Peterson is in charge of the Explorer. Chad is a very talented young man with one of the best ears in the industry. I trust him 100% with that car.
We are competing in the same category as Mark - Expert 601+ - and Mark is employed by Kicker, who as you are aware is my main sponsor for the bronco. The explorer will make its next appearance with Illusion Audio speakers, Phoenix Gold Amps and accessories, Westco batteries and Panasonic head unit.
The explorer was started during our time with PPI and has had more changes than probably any sq car in the industry. I actually carried that darn car longer than I carried Patrick!
Mark is a friend and a good competitor. He will be working closly with us on the bronco. Mark and I have no problem with this crazy situation. He is going to try his best to take first at finals and so are we.
Thats what competition is all about.

Alma, I am glad you hear that you have a great relationship with Mark. He has done wonders for the SQ side of the industry and will continue to for some time. That is very interesting that Mark will be working with you on the Bronco. What exactly will he be helping with? I knew that Chad was in charge of the Explorer but I didn't know if that extended past installation. It is always good to have someone that can do both install and tuning along with being able to fully trust him with your vehicle. Not many people have all those things at once. Mark is involved in new product development and as such will be working closely with us. He is a brilliant person who has lots to offer the industry as well as Team Gates.
Chad is so particular about anything he does, it's not hard to trust him. Chad has been with TGI since the beginning. That explorer is his creation.

Is Mark still in competition, I heard that Wayne asked him to step aside since it would/could cause a clash of intesrest? Just curious. Good Luck and Godd Bless.

We are talking about Mark Elridge - right?) why in the world would having a sound quality person(or spl person) giving technical support to my team have a conflict of interest in anything. Its no different than have any other person working for a manufacturer or retailer assisting a competitor. You have to remember that I am a Pro and have sponsors. There are many ways a sponsor can help - the most important one is that technical support - they have brain power (education wise) and technical knowledge of their equipment that we as competitors often are lacking. Knowing Wayne, I really doubt he would do that.
One thing I have discovered in the last 3 years, rumors fly better and faster in car audio than anyplace I have ever played. And the best way to stop them is exactly what you just did. ASK! Thanks for asking.
