just as the subject says....i would like sum tips on using carbon fiber...like where to get it....preparation and basicly anything in general with carbon fiber

Sorry I'm late in getting to this post, but just approach this as you would with a fiberglass project, but bypass the Home Depot/Lowes/Menards...
and head straight for your local plastics supply house or supplier of composite materials, fiberglass and so on.

Materials will be the main difference, but a few questions to supply house staff will get you the information you need. Just remember to play with something small before you attempt to complete a large project where the imperfections will be obvious, better top goof up on a small test project than ruin the hood of your car.

Then there's that whole, having to come up with the alternate, "this guy I know said he knew what he was doing" story, followed soon after by the one that goes, "so I kicked his butt and stole his girl."
