I've got a couple of audiobahn awc-12 subs that pound. I know someone with the same subs who has hit 146.3 db off the dash. I can't get him to tell me what he tuned the box for. He won't even tell me the internal volume of the box. All I know is the box is huge. Does any one have any input on what size ported or vented enclosure to use to get maximum spl. The subs play very well somewhere between 30 and 40 hertz and will handle 500 watts r.m.s. each. If possible I would like to use a vent because I hate port turbulence and a vent seems to sound beter than a port. I need help.
