You should be able to build a box if you have some woodworking skills, or enough skills to buy beer for a skilled woodworker.
My most recent box (12th i built) took me 3 hours. It was an 12 Cubic foot Sealed box for 3) 15" subs, and i didnt even need the van to test fit it. And this box cost me.
1 Sheet board $26 Leftover 2x4's $0 1/2 gallon Fiberglass resin $12 extra hardner $4 5 pounds of screw $8.50
So, cheap. A shop would have charged me $300 for it. Damn i should own a shop.

if you do all of the math and dimensions, you can go to Home Depot and they will cut the wood for you if you buy it there. it something like $.25 after the first two cuts or something, some people don't even charge. you could do the rest at your apt or dorm. waalaa!

most high school and colleges have either a wood shop or and art dept or a drama dept.all of these places have wood tools to use. a box like you want from my shop would run about 50-75 depends on if you brought the speakers from us or not. also we have built some boxes using liquid nails instead of resin. they seem to hit harder and hold tighter then the resin does.
