Can anyone think of a better way to make a grill for this.
If you can't tell it is the back of my center console, I had to install a fan to help cool down my EQ. The grill right now is just a piece of screen I found. I used a hole saw to cut the size of screen I needed, in a old piece of MDF, then I used a press and placed the screen between piece cut out and the hole and pressed it.
But it doesn't stay in the back of the console so I had to put a little bit of glue...as you can see in the pic. It looks a little ghetto so I am looking for new ideas. Open for any ideas.
Thanks Paul

Hi Paul, Does the fan have a box built around it?,from the factory? If it does,do the corners of the frame have holes for mounting the fan to something? If it does, find some small machine screws, with lock nuts enough to hold the fan.You will have to drill holes in console to bolt fan to it.As far as the grille is concerned,I might take and hot glue it to the perimeter of the fan housing,if that is what it is.:)If that will not work, try to find a computer fan,I think some of them are 12-volt,possibly encased in a mountable type case like I mentioned before, possibly with a built-in-screen.I hope this can help you Paul:)Maybe someone else could toss you an idea also.Anyone out there that could possibly help with this please! [Smile] GOOD LUCK PAUL, Grumpy [Smile]

If you can find a tweeter grill laying around then try that. Not too sure the size of your cut out, but it may work.
