hey fiberglass specialists, going to try my hand at fiberglassing, got the sub box prepped and ready to go. Couple quick questions.

1) If I'm doing this outside, are there certain temperature and humidity levels I should work within (I think humidity would be a bigger issue).

2) Working in sections...if I let the one section cure before doing the section next to it, will the new resin bond to the alreadt cured resin, or will there be a joint that could possibly leak air or even seperate? Similarly, will multiple layers bond together if the first layer is already cured?

Also, if you could tell me if my work thus far is ok....

I made a skeleton with 3/4" MDF I had laying around, which is glued and screwed together. Then, to make the form, I stapled 19 ga. hardware mat (similar to chicken wire, though more sturdy) to the skeleton and formed my desired shape. My plan is to sandwich the hardware mat within the fiberglass, similar to the way reinforcing works in concrete. I also plan to incase the skeleton in fiberglass so that the interior of the sub enclosure is completely fiberglass.

And if there are any other tips or tricks you use that might be helpful, please share.

Thanks

thanks!

1. for cold temperature just add slightly more hardeners.

2. it can be done in steps, although after first layer when you got rigid shape it is best and fastest to do all layer.

so far you are dooing OK.
