Suppose you want to make some bondo mix that you can paint on with a brush.. Would you use fiberglass resin and hardener, or another chemical to do this? Thanks

They make a product, that is made to be used like bondo, that is sprayable. I would say that would be your best bet. You could try to thin standard bondo with resin, possibily some laquer thiner..

You take the bondo in a container, and add as much resin to get the desired thickness. then you can use either hardener. the bondo cream, or the MEKP for resin. piece of cake.

OR... as tGuy mentioned.. there is a few brands taht can be sprayed on.. I elieve you are looking for "featherfill" or any high build polyester resin. look in one of the technical articles, or do a search on here for "sprayable bondo" this stuff goes for ( ibelieve) $25 a quart. I want to try it someday, but in the meantime, the bondo-resin shake works great !!

I used insane amounts of bondo on my ride and Im finally getting everything perfect. It was hard to work with at first but I eventually got the hand of it. I just use the Bondo in the paint style cans at the auto store. That was the cheapest way for me at least.

just make sure, that if you are building strength for a particular joint, or panel ( sculpting a shape) don't use just plain Bondo.. it won't be as strong as if you used KITTY HAIR. use Kitty Hair to shape the pieces or reinforcement.. then go over it with bondo to get the final contour

Some fiberglass suppliers will have this powder made of glass "microspheres" which act as a sandable filler. You just mix it into your resin/hardener pot and smear it on like Bondo.

Select Produts has the sprayable and it works wonders, but I still use the bondo shake quite often.
