I am mating up two console pieces (front and rear) but they're from different vehicles. Both pieces are from Integras but one is from a 2nd gen and one a 3rd gen. They console layout is a bit different. Is it worthwhile to glass the two together and then vinyl it or is there a better way? Besides buying a new ride -- not an option.

There's a space about 4" between the end of one piece and the begining of the other. Perhaps I am better having a shop do this? Hrmmm...

Danka! Danka!
Andrew.

I have found that fiberglass resin does not stick to certin types of plastic very well. Try plastic welding the two consoles together, fill anything uneven with bodyfiller then vinyl.
Plasic welders are availble from MAC TOOLS $200.00
This plastic welding has worked quite well for me.
