I've ran into a dilemma. I don't know if I should carpet my door panels or if I should just go ahead and paint them. I have quite a bit of black carpet lying around and I think paint wouldn't be as durable since door panels can flex from every day use and it's kind of tedious prepping plastic for paint.

Instead of stitching you can always create a vinyl break by gluing on a .25"x.25" piece of mdf and building up to it with body filler. Whenever you do these breaks it's best to use carpet to compensate for the .25" lip.

For SPL, yeah, I agree. This is just going to be a loud "daily driver". Once I get another dedicated vehicle for driving, the Jeep is getting a wall. I've got some plans for a 6th order...somewhere. This will turn into a dedicated Bassracer pretty sooooon.
