i want to build a new box for my two subs they are pretty small but i want to try and get more sound out of them they are lightning audio strike 12'' subs. the specs say for each sub to build a 2.0 cubic feet enclosure and two 3'' x 14'' vents. but i dont have enough space in my car for two enclosures this size. i managed to design a common chamber enclosure that will give me 4.0 cubes. but i am wondering on the ports. would i need to put four ports in this box or could i manage to use 2 six inch ports? it is tuned at 30 hz. i am very new at this and i want to learn as much as i can . thank you

I'd use two of those ports most likely...but start with the ports long so you can cut them shorter until you find the exact tuning you want.

I use a slotted design but thinking about aeros. Yeah you can use 1 port. But if 1 sub hits harder than the other sub will act like a sponge. Take for example my 12" sub has a box designed for 4 cube with 1 2"X27" port with 11" port board tuned for 40hz but peaks at 43.43hz. But this box is undergoing some changes at the moment.
