What's everyone's prices on 3/4 birch? I just got quoted 39 bucs a sheet for 11 ply. thanx in advance.

Thats a good price.

Birch can vary cause there are alot of different quality's but the reg Lowes/Homedepot kind runs me 45.00 here.

lowes hd is i think 38 or 40 here.i install and sand hardwood floors.im thinking of getting a 4x8ft 3/4in red oak and make a box with 1 panel plexi.other specias would be nice but i doubt i could find them and if so there probabaly 100$ a sheet

Here Oak is 40 and Birch is 39.

3/4" 13 layer void-free cross directional layered Balitc Birch here is 60 a sheet

the cheap crap Home Depot stuff here is 35 a sheet

i can get 1'' 13 layer void free for around 50 a sheet from a few different places, you can get 1.5'' mdf for around 40 dollars a sheet from a place in Nashville.

The birch I can get from a cabinet shop in town, but its almost triple the price a sheet of 3/4 mdf so i can't see using it for daily stuff

OK, never considered the quality of the material here. Lemme ask this then - be it good or bad birch vs mdf - what would ya choose?? I got one really big goal in mind here - and finals is the playground!!

Plywood and Plastics up here in Richmond, VA has 13 ply Baltic Birch 4'X 8' for $59.99 a sheet. 5'X 5' for $45.00 a sheet.
