ya I probably should have spent more time sanding...but it isnt a show car...and they are pretty tucked away. Overall I'm pretty happy with it...it works for my setup anyways

well I've had them in the car for over a week now running off an infinity amp and they sound excellent. I'm definately happy with them.
I don't understand the resonance though...can someone explain? and how I would fix the issue if it is an issue cuz I certainly can't hear any problems...they sound really crisp and clear...and I have the lows filtered out

Most of us would have fiberglassed the back side after the first mold was pulled off...
You can just use some sound deadener like dynamat or whatever you got.. just make sure you dont put it right where your panel meets the door, or your gaps will be off.. but very easy fix..
if you sanded the edges more, i would say that you should try to wrap 1 of them in vinyl.
If you try this let me just warn you, they have to be perfect.. no sharp edges, no tight bends..
Look good and im sure you learned alot from these, try it again.. Cause thats how you get better. Not saying you need to trash those cause you dont.... but use the tricks that you learned and see how they come out again..

As for the resonance, non hardening modeling clay would be a better option than deadening mat, cheaper too. I don't see how you have them attached, but if you are going to be adding weight they will need to be stuctually very sound before hand.
