I have an idea on what the box i am building in the cabin area should look instead of just plain wood but have questions on type of paint and image(s).

This is what i want-
Paint whole box black, glossy black, whichever it doesnt matter.

Somewhere on the inside of the box, install 2 lights in there and have an image drawn right in the path of the port using flourescent paint to make the image stand out when the lights are on and have the whole box clear coated to protect it.

Now for the questions-
I've heard that i have to make sure my black paint has to be....something or else clear coat will mix with it instead of go over it... What type of black paint am i looking for?
Also, this flourescent paint idea.. Is it actually as easy as it sounds?
I don't plan on using UV black lights but rather neon lights. Does neon lights cause the same 3D effect? And painting any image with flourescent paint make it stand out?

And...what image or word(s) would be interesting to have painted in the path of the port?
