well i want to glass this panel with a plexi window with a impala logo,backlit with neon.whats the easiest way to cut a perfect square with out a table saw? i have router/router table,and 18volt dewalt circular saw. i wold like to flush mount the plexi from behind.the only bit i have know is a round over bit so i plan on buying some more bits tommarow.any recommendations?
based on these pics,i think you can get an idea of what i'm tryin to do plz no laughin [Big Grin] .anybody have a better idea on something i should do? all responses welcome! thx

i know some more panel is gonna have to be cut.

thats the impala but its gonna be etched from behind thats just or refrance.and the pocket behind the clamp i want smoothed out.

that can come out perdy damn nice [Smile] seen a few similar installs...i'd advise investing in the tools for this project. definitely can't expect much without the proper tools!

you trying to cut the plexi without a table saw? if you plan on flush mounting it i'd seriously recommend the store cutting that for you. if you're building a false top or beauty ring of some sorts....the router's straight line guide would suffice.

check up on ebay though [Wink] there's a guy in hong kong with MANNNNNYYY premade plexi/neon signs from 3x5" - 8.5x11" and bigger...had a few impala sings up not too long ago.

i'd also consider led VS neon. [Wink]

Definatly go with the led....I have replaced 5 neons in 2 months..I hate neon.......
