I'm looking into a table saw...not a huge one mind you...something I can transport if needed. Any insight is welcome...How do the $100-300 dollar saws hold up? Just looking for something to build boxes with.
Thanks

Depending how many boxes you are planning to do, you might want to spring some extra $$$ for a good tablesaw. The cheaper saws have weak tables and fences. It makes cutting decent sized panels a P.I.T.A. Look in spending about 300 for a decent saw.
If you are only doing one or two boxes, get a good circular, saw guide and a sturdy table. It works.

You might want to check out www.grizzly.com I was going to get the 10" contractor tablesaw. It looked like a pretty good deal. But a jet tabelsaw came up instead. It definately pays to spend some extra $$ for quality tools.
