Topic: New Project - Halo 2 tournament
I had this idea about builing a video game tournament It had to have the following properties * 8 player stations * xbox platform * linkable for head to head * 20" moitors * easy to transport * easy to set up * easy to take down * computerized scoring and bracketing. * overhead spectator viewing. So I started trying to figure everything out First tourney setup -------------------- Sam2008 SPLMAX CUP 2008 Continental Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament July 2-6, 2008 Cleveland Ohio

I came accross some trussing. I combined the trussing to make the free standing display. To say the least it was huge. I ran into a ton of design problems * Xbox would be on average 16 feet away for the Xbox controller. Such a long cable - lose repsonse time for the controler * main truss was 20 feet long- would not fit into my car nor my enclosed trailer So I had to redesign the game plan. I had 30" wide to work with in my trailer. so I came up with a new design New design This design made each station free standing. Xbox controller woud be less than 6 feet away fro the xbox. TO much fabricating -------------------- Sam2008 SPLMAX CUP 2008 Continental Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament July 2-6, 2008 Cleveland Ohio

Then Aaron Cole came up with a great idea. Make the units out of aluminum - light way and expandable New setup I liked it. It was similar to what I thought of [ 09-19-2005, 04:44 AM: Message edited by: SPLMAX -- Sam ] -------------------- Sam2008 SPLMAX CUP 2008 Continental Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament July 2-6, 2008 Cleveland Ohio
