ok i been searching but havent found my answer. i know most ppl say to use fleece to stretch over your baffle ring or rings when making a fiberglass panel. question #1. does wal mart sell fleece? what material am i looking for? poleyester? cotton? other? #2 if i cant find "fleece" somewhere local, im thinking of tryin like and old 100% cotton t shirt. bad idea or will work? seems to me like i would want something that stretches some to get nice shapes and not all flat surfaces. any ideas?

The only problem with a tshirt is it is very thin, and may crack on you. You will want to support it with extra fiberglass mat/cloth in a hurry after it is dried. Don't try to move it a bunch until you do.

You can buy fleece at wal-mart. Just go to the fabric section. You'll see it. Look for the mark down crap. You can generally get it for $1.00 yard or so.

alright well i just got done with the wrap. i used the tshirt. seemed to work ok. some areas were slightly flexible so once they dried i put some matting on. seems solid enough. just tweeters so there wont be much vibration. if i can figure out how maybe ill post some pics when im finished.

fleece: like some regular sweats material works VERY well. It's stretchy and flexible (not in all directions so you'll have to play with it). One drawback is the girth. Fleece may not be the best choice for certain angles compared to grill cloth. Though it will get you the thickness you're looking for.

It soaks up resin alright. Sometimes the inside will still be fuzzy so a good coat of resin inside is necessary.

For tweeter pods a t-shirt will get you the shape you're looking for. It will be brittle after it dries though...and crack like Andy mentioned.

I like to use 55% poly / 45% cotton fleece... It's like $4-5 a yard for the ugly colors. Stretches nice, can use superglue to tack it in place (sooo fast).
