I wouldn't use fiberglass at all. I'd use liquid plastic. It is much easier to use, bonds better to the plastic, and sands a whole bunch easier.

Go to the http://www.hzemall.com and look around there at the installs and his use of liquid plastic.

You can buy from him, or if you want to buy from someone in the US, let me know and I'll find the link of the store I buy mine from.

EDIT: Also, liquid plastic is much easier to get right for the first time user than fiberglass is.

I would like the link to the liquid plastic as well. I've seen the pics of it being used and looks pretty interesting. Sometimes glass is overkill for some small jobs. Also, glass and filler don't work well with many plastics.

I got mine at:

http://www.urethanesupply.com/storeepoxy.html

Flex Filler 2.

The nice thing about this product is that it uses normal chaulking guns---so you don't have to spend $50 on some special application gun. I also bought the filler prep--but to be honest, I've used the product with and without the prep--and had no difference in outcome. Great product---sand fairly easily, very few pinholes, and real easy to get right and bond with anything.

Other products are Duramix 4040---but it is more expensive and you have to buy the applicator gun (~$50.00).

Tim sells some on the hzemall website. There is also Dominion Seal (do a google and you should find it).

exactly right. and Bondo has no strength characteristics at all. This does have some strength to it.

a-pillar--normal size tweeters--not much--the smallest tube they sell would leave you with a bunch left over.

What would you use it for on a kickpanel?

I bought the bigger tubes (for the caulking gun). I have molded in about 4 radios in my dash, my 701 controller into the center console, and one other small project. I still have some left in the tubes.
