How heavy? You may want to go with something else if you are using a wall and have really heavy subs (like bolts).

t-nuts in my experience come out if you remove the screws a few times.

^ They are small though. Even the biggest T-Nut is smaller than a 1/4" bolt and nut that you can buy at Home Depot. I have T-nuts and machine screws holding every piece of equipment in my vehicle in place (even fuse holders)---but in a wall where there is a lot of weight on the connections---I would want much more metal holding that speaker in.

If he were using something REALLY heavy, like Team RF subs, DD 99 series, etc., I would look for a way to use straight up nuts and bolts to hold them in.

You could bolt the subs in place first, then put the face of the wall up. I agree with andy...t-nuts for something like that would be on the wimpy side.

Try routing out the wall a hair to flush mount the woofer and use that to help you hold the sub in place while you thread the bolts into place. I recommend starting with the bottom one and then go to the top one then your set with the rest of them!!! Watch it with hex head bolts, if they are big enough once you get down to the basket they won't go any further unless your threading the nuts from behind then nevermind...hehe
