How can I go about getting the RE logo in that empty space to the right of the speaker cutouts?

I didnt glue the carpet to the face of the box, simply because I wanted a logo, but didnt knwo how.

^exactly. Cut out the logo in something (something dense enough to hold shape). The attach it to the enclosure. Then shape the carpet around it. Make sure you use some good glue (not spray glue) to hold it in place.

Thanks guys! I'll try that today. Only thing that may present a problem is that the carpet on the box is wrapped pretty tightly and I'm afraid the carpet on the front might have some play in it if I stretch it too much.

I'll still give it a shot though.

You could always make the logo, and wrap it in carpet, and then attach the wrapped logo to the enclosure (do it from the inside and no attachments will be seen)

I thought of doing the logo in 1/4" or 1/8" balsa wood or somethign like that. Then cut the logo out of the carpet on the box and insert the carpeted logo into the cutout.

i have done it many times with .25" panel board. just cut with a jigsaw, glue it down, then stretch the carpet around with some liquid nails to hold the carpet down.

It makes a really nice effect with very little effort

You could cut the logo out of the carpet. Then use it as a template on a different color carpet and glue it in place.

A good way to do this is go to a VINYL shop have them cut the design then you put it on the material you wish to use, I like to use Dynomat.
then cut the logo with a razor blade then simply stick it on the box and glue the carpet around the logo!!
I would use a good glue not a spray can glue!!!

FOr now I used just plain carpet. Icut the design into carpet and layed the carpet design over the box carpet.

VERY subtle, almost not visible unless you look, but temporary.

I'll post a pic in a few mins.
