haven't done a full panel, but I did mount some RE comps in the doors. Had to use this 3/4" spacer to get them to fit. They still almost hit the glass. Another note, the passenger door has the nice rubber coupling between the door and the cabin, the driver's side has a Molex connector and is a real pain to feed wires through. Kiss my a$$ Ford!

Check my SD site and see my install. I have already done this I'm looking for a complete door rebuild. If you need any tips for the explorer let me know I can tell you almost anything about 'em.
