I have a few questions before I lay down some fiberglass mixture. I have my wheel well and surrounding area all taped up in duct tape and I was just wondering when I lay down the mixture, do I just pop the mold out by pulling up on the duct tape when it dries?? Or can I spray some non-stick cooking spray or spread some crisco on top of the duct tape then lay down the mixture then pop it out?

It may help if you let us know what you are trying to do. Are you making a new wheel well? Either way, you could just pull it off, but it may be possible that it could damage the paint. I would probably tape down some aluminum foil over the top to make sure that you won't have any problems ruining the paint, since it'll just pull of the foil instead. I've also heard that vasoline works, but you could possibly have a problem with warping. Just lay a lot of layers of glass down and there shouldn't be a problem.

I would recommend using masking tape not duct tape but either will work, as far as releasing it, if you dont have any fiberglass mold release wax, you can use regular car wax on the masked area. Use something that you would normally polish on, and do 3 or 4 coats.
