i have a few tricks for F/G work. i did not invert these but have used them with much success.
(A) use fine sawdust & hot resin mixed to smooth sharp corners to make glassing them w/ mat easier.
(B) use "GLAD" throw away containers for your resin, you can allow extra resin to set and pop it out and re use them indefinatly (cheap too)
(C) cut the bristles of brushes down to about 1"
(D) use a big sponge to get foil flat before glassing.
(E)please feel free to post your own tips and tricks for F/Ging

Thats a cool trick with the glad containers. I just do it the lazy way...I just buy plastic cups and throw them away when I'm done.

I'll have to try that foil trick too...sounds like a good idea.

Keep them coming if you have anything to add.

one of my favorite fiberglass tricks is the sharpe trick.tape of ur area u want to glass, take a sharpe marker and outline the area u wish to mold "example would be a kick panel area"once traced out apply mold release and apply resin and matte.once cured and released the sharpe mark transfers onto the glass showing u exactly where to cut the excess off.i use this on stealth boxes, kicks, dash molds ect....

actually for the resin, go to walmart, and get a 4 pack of plastic sterilite cereal bowls. 1.00 a pack, and a lot more durable than the glad wear. after the resin cures, it will just pop right out of it.

Can someone shed a ligth on what a "GLAD" container is a search threw up all different kind of boxes.

I assume it s made out of a very flexible plastic, so i thought of the tupperware kind of boxes.

A link, a pic, anything?

keep the tips coming

They are just some cheap plastic bowls. Think Tupawear but cheaper.

Nothing special about them at all. The key is fiberglass doesn't stick to plastic---so anything plastic is fine.

I use cool whip bowls.
