Yeah.. This has been, and will always be a "budget project".

The finish with the cans comes out okay if you put the work in -- not as nice as a professional job though, and the paint is also much softer =/

if you need any help let me know, Im only a minute outside of g-ville. If you buy the paint (ben's paint will be the cheapest) I could spray it for you, if you want to do an automotive style. Here is a worklog of an install I did a few months back for one of the owners of Brew-Ha's

Nice work! You have the absolute worst timing ever, considering I just finished painting/finishing the entire thing with krylon.
Thanks anyway, I will definetly look back to this if I need to paint something again.

I really like the style of it....

It seems as though you need to be a bit more patient with the painting process, the flaws are pretty easy to see even in the pics. Next time settle for nothing less than perfect, you have the knack, just employ the principles and make it great.

Hmmm....I was talking about the door pods, I just noticed the sub box.

You need a DA and more time making it smooth.

Finished up with my fiberglass box, and got everything installed yesterday.

 -

A little more power.
 -

 -

The expanding foam in there is to take up a little excess volume.
 -

 -

 -

Stuffed with polyfill.

mmmmmmmmm..........
 -

500x1 @2ohm for the subs
 -

 -

50x2 @4ohm for the fronts.
 -

The only thing left to decide... do i put the ed sticker in the window? or is that just an invitation to car thieves?

As far as sound goes.. WOW. What an improvement! Another satisfied customer!

Questions, comments?

No stickers.. Let people HEAR it if you wanna show off. Looks great though. I agree with a previous post, you rushed the sanding / painting process. I did the same stuff at first, then I worked at a custom paint shop for a few months, learned how to sand until your hands fall off and the surface is like glass. Paint comes out flawless if you do the right prep. And finding someone to shoot it with good equipment makes things a lot better than krylon. But GREAT first try. If you're happy with it, roll it!
