What's up everybody?I am new to the site and have been reading it. I was wondering if someone could help me on a design for a console. i have a 12" solobaric L7 i am putting in the back of the console firing to the back of the cab. ohhh....yeah....I have a 94 chevy fullsize extended cab truck. then i have a kicker zr360 i am putting in the console and a capacaitor. I just got a piece of lexan from a friend to put over the amp and cap. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to put the amp in or a cool way to design the console. if any one has pics that would be a big help too. i don't know if it will look better if i put it in the front floor or inbetween the seats. i am also putting in a fan and some lights. thanks a lot for any help and sorry for this being so long. later.

well, i would fire the sub down.
i have built many they work much better that way.
carry the console as far back as possible and flush mount your amp.
use the plexi over the sub so you can see the back of the sub.

I think you should fire it toward the back, and maybe have it firing up slightly. I have no reason for this, it just sounds like a good idea. Have you ever considered modifying the floor in your truck to house subs???????? I think you know who this is now. hehe

yes BIGNUTZ is correct.....fire it down towards the floor.
i would leave at least 1-2 inches for it to fire into since you will not have much room to work with, the more opening you leave around the edge the better but don't sacrifice build quality/strength for it.

thanks for the ideal small, the only thing about firing down is it is a L7 square and i want people to see it. thanks for the idea though. i think i am going to take the back seat out and put in two bucket seats and take the console all the way to the back.
