I am purchasing 3/4 inch plexi to accent my box on 1 side, the top, with the subs facing back in my hatch, to view the subs magnet and basket (side view). How do you drill the screw holes w/o cracking the plexi? Thanks.

I just used a regular drill press, nothing special. Worked fine for me.

If you have a plexi shop near by, stop in and ask for a brochure on the topic. They are very informative. If not, you CAN use a standard bit, I suggest high speed and very light pressure. A "unibit" works awesome, but is tough to make the hole the proper size in thick (> 3/16") material. The proper bit will have no "bite" to it, and will not bite or tear off the material. It's kind of hard to explain. sorry.

I've always just used a drill press also, it works excellent, just make sure that is is stable, and doesn't vibrate, or you will get off center and bad stuff will start to happen. Believe me

I drilled my 3/4 inch plexi with a regular drill bit, every single hole chipped top and bottom. If you can ask the shop where you got the olexi where you can buy the special drill bit they recommend. I also had them fire polish the edges on mine, made it look alot better.
