Anyone know how to get richer/fuller/deeper bass out of a sealed box? What does adding polyfill do? I used to have a bandpass box for 1 12 (with about 300 watts) which made my chest pound when it hit...but I almost feel that my sealed box (with 2 12s and 600 watts) are almost quieter since they bass never really seems to get that low. Is the only way to fix this is to port them? If I have to, thats fine, I can build a new box, but I'd like to see how the sealed box works to save myself some effort if possible.

bigger the sealed box, the lower the bass.
Up to 50% filled with polyfill, the lower the bass.

If you increase sealed box size, less power handling occurs.

A sealed box will give you SQ greatly but low spl vs a ported box.

Ported boxes can peak a LOT higher at whatever frequencie(s) you want them to within a given range. You can also make ported boxes SQish like a sealed box and it will still outperform the sealed box.

Bandpass box is like 2 boxes, sealed for the front and ported out the back, its like having 1 sub in 2 boxes at the same time(ther are multiple types of bandpassed as well) making the efficiency very high. However, bandpass is not an SQ box. It is designed for VERY strict frequency responses.
