Ok heres my deal, I have a contour, and since i have had it i wanted to go with a good eye catching system with plexi and neons/leds and other things. But i have ran into a dilema on picking all of my gear anda suitable enclosure to me. I was set on getting 1 or more jbl bp1200.1 and a 12" L7, but i want the punch in the music so i was thinkin about getting two 10" linear compresion subs from audiobahn.I was leaning towards the awt10's because of the silver face and the ability to reflect the lighting better.
With the design i want to do with the box i also ran into trouble. I know trying to explain it i always have ?'s so i will try to explain it the best that i can. I have rear fold down seats, so with that i wanted to build a wall so to speek of plexiglas right behind the seats so that when the seats are folded down the plexi is there, then about 6-10"'s behind that i wanted to make a enclosure with the cones of the speakers facing the plexiglas(like a traditional box) so that when the lighting inbetween the enclosure and the plexiglas is lit, the cones light up. But where i think i am going wrong is that would this be a bandpass type setup , since you have plexi in the front and a enclosure? Could i leave my enclosure sealed or would it be best to port it out the rear?
This is where i am stuck, can someone help me out?

just open up the area between the 2 plexi's and have it vent unrestricted through the rear deck. you will probably have to rebuil it and customize it, but that is what all the fun is about.
check out sound advice at the avenues for installation. everyone else there is a hack
bb, cc, rolling sound, etc
however if you want some good equipment cheap, goto daddy-o's. ask for jude- the last time i talked to them jude was still there, and he has a clue

If you're gonna be running 6 10's i sure as hell hope you get some thick plexi if you're gonna make the entire box out of it. If you get it too thin then the box will flex and cause distortion. Take that into consideration also. Just my two cents.

It was me and the shop is Car Stereo & Window Tinting, a couple of blocks from Park St. I've been working there for a little over a year now, but I don't think there was that many custom installs done before I came to work there. I'm slowly changing that fact, but it takes a little time to get the word out.
I've got plenty of fiberglass and enclosure experience, and have done a few plexi installs with good results. Yes, rebuilding the rear deck would be "fun" but hey thats what it's all about. I'd be happy to go over it with you about it in person so you could show me exactly what it is that you want, and we'll go from there. I have everything you mentioned in stock, but I can get almost anything else since my boss' cousin (Monsoor Baker) owns the Audio Excellence chain in Orlando, Fl.
If you have some free time, feel free to drop by the shop or call me and we'll kick some ideas around and see what we come up with.
I came up with that, i want it to be removable but still look like its permanent.
