I've got 6-1/2's mids in small sealed kickpods and there is a noticeable "bump" in the output around 150-200Hz, presumably due to the small kickpod volume (probably around 0.15 cubes or so). Poly-fill and equalization have helped a bit, but I am thinking about creating a small aperiodic membrane in the back of the kickpod. Problem is, I know nothing about aperiodic setups. How big of an area would I need to cut out? What material should I use for the membrane, and how thick should it be? Will the aperiodic setup help tame the frequency bump at all?
TIA.
