I might be a few months behind on this one. But, did I hear/read correctly that PPI was aquired by Orion (or their parent company)? What does this mean for PPI as a company and will the merger make for a product that is better than Orion and PPI are currently (is that possible)?

You are a little behind here but don't worry its still noteworthy. After changing hands more times than a door knob to the men's room at Taco Bell PPI was finally bought and is now owned by a company called ADST. They are also the parent company of Orion and a/d/s. That company was a part of a failed takeover attempt by some internet car audi ostart up earlier this year. If you look into the new products from these companies you will see a lot of shared technology. The new PPI DEQ230 is basically an orion DEQ30 in a PPI shell. Same with a/d/s' new digital EQ. This sharing of technology is whats helping Orion come out with new products like their HCCA subs. Overall from the look of everything this has been a mostly positive move on the part of all these companies.

From a dealer standpoint; I can't get anything taken care of through PPI and I carried both Orion and PPI. I thought the service would get better. PPI just doesn't want to warranty anything. We had a c2 off for warranty for 8 months. That isn't much of a turnaround time.
