Most of the following events aren't sanctioned but they will be a lot of fun and, from most shows, $5.00 from every entry fee will go to the Mobile Enhancement Retailer's Association's REV IT UP program. This is for legal help with (A.) keeping those pesky noise ordinances from wrecking our car audio hobbies and (B.) to aid with the OEM Integration related "right to enhance" movement. You deserve the right to enhance your cars after you buy them and many auto manufacturers are trying to make it impossible! The contests are all in Indiana and Kentucky but everyone is invited! The event venue's phone numbers have been included if you need information or contact me via this forum. THANKS!!

sounds like the way comps used to be,comps within 5 hrs drive cheap entry fee and a lot of fun,we live in ohio and will be coming to a lot of the shows,

I go to the comps at Audio to Go in Radclif Ky and let me tell you they are a lot of fun and they give good trophies. I think 1st is around 3 feet tall and the last one you can get a 6 foot tall trophy. you can go to web page and check out the full rules and dates.

Replying to that June 26th one.. I'm going to try to go to more shows around me.. Of any type of sanction or whatever it's called. Of course I don't have a system, or even anything to compete.. But I wanna get my name out there, plus I have nothing to do but work all the time at KFC (oh yea) so I get bored easily.
I havent never been a competitor but i would like to see what competition is out there around my city so i can get a feel for what i need to do to be better.
I know i'm not the best but i also know i'm not the worst either.
I'm runnin a 2500w Cadence amp on an Audiobahn Immortal 15 in an 8.8 cu ft box
Sad thing is, the sub hasn't released any smell yet so i am thinking it wants more power!!! I thought it would before i even installed it from other stories i've been hearing about this sub.

I just got home a few minutes ago from driving to Greenwood to see how to get to Ovation.. It's actually pretty easy to get there. Used my mom's car this time.. Has more pep and a little tighter steering than the Cutty.. but I will say that I can make it.. so far I can.. Ovation is pretty cool inside.. I went inside and saw all those TVs and like damn.. then I went into the car section and they had a few Alpine subs and things out.. Not a whole bunch of stuff, but what it is, is all higher stuff like JL, Alpine, etc.. It was cool. I can't wait to see some of you out there.. I can't wait!

You know, if I would of had some phone numbers, I would of called.. I want to meet people/ make some friends and hang out. I know I'm going to try to make a plan of meeting people on here.. Like, kind of have a section, if possible.. Where I can park and have the people that read this to like meet me. I'll almost bet I'm the only blueish cutty ciera there Can't miss me! But yea, I would of.. I thought it was almost a wasted drive.. But I wanted to see how to get there.. About as easy as pie if I just remember how to get there.. haha.. I'm going early though. They gave me a flier.. Pre registration starts at 6:00pm, Contest begins at 7...There are 3 classes, Car, Truck, and SUV/Van. 2 contestants minimum to qualify for cash prizes.
1st - Gold Award Plus $100 2nd - Silver Award Plus $50 3rd - Bronze Award Plus personal satisfaction.
Btw, what's in-car frequency response? SQ? I don't know really.. But what is it? Anyways, that's about the main things on the flyer.. Just thought I'd share and get some people pumped up.. Btw, I wanna meet some of ya'll at the thing.. So be on the look out.. I'm trying to clean her up.. not doin too too well.. But what can I say.. it probably hasn't been cleaned for 4 years.. lol

DAM THATS TIGHT..... im gonna go to some comps this year last year i tried to go to 2 comps one weekend and of course the first time the shop moved locations to a new store and i was SOL in iowa, 2nd was like 10miles away or so in illinios and i said F it... i couldnt find the place so i drove all the way back home almost falling asleep on the way..... thank goodness i had a loud stereo to keep me up.LOL
i realy wanna know what kinda score im hiting. i doubt its that good but i just wanna know!!!! and when i get my 2nd H2 i wanna see a score increase numbers

i have a couple questions about the criteria u just posted- 1 - 2 contestants minimum to qualify for the prizes\cash.
So does that mean if i am the only one that goes up and registers, i am doin it for the hell of it?
And 2nd, installation quality- Inside my trunk area, this is jsut a setup to get me by for the next yr so i did not go all out to perfect the installation but cant i still just compete like this-
Box takes up whole trunk, not bolted through trunk floor.
The amp powering it is behind the box screwed down to a rollout shelf and the shelf is secured from moving with welding rods through the shelf keeping it from sliding while driving.
The other amp in there is for 2 6x9s, it is not mounted, laying on fenderwell but doesnt move as a droplight is next to it keeping it from moving.
The most i can probably do is secure that amp to my fenderwell but thats it.
I had Fatmat installed but the stuff didnt like hanging on my trunk lid so like 2 parts of it are on each side of the trunk, part of 1 is slightly hanging there, hehe.
I know in terms of perfection and quality, i can be made fun of all day, week, month, yr...... and i know it looks like crap from that standpoint so it should be ok, right?
I dont know how they are going to rate people, either by db or points but regardless, i hope they dont deduct something from me just because the trunk isnt in perfection. I just wanna go and have fun, i am not serious about it yet as what i wanna do is coming within the year....

I have no idea bro, I just was putting what this said. I don't see how a pure SPL vehicle should have an install quality seeing how the boxes you put in there are usually messy with liquid nails and stuff like that.. You might get to pick what one you want to be judged on.. I have no idea.. and for the 2 people minimum.. Yes, that's what I got out of it.. I didn't ask the dude there.. But I'm pretty sure that's what it means..Don't worry, if no one else signs up, I will and you can win.. haha, beware of my 6x9s . I'm trying to see if the people I talk to on here will like meet up so I don't look like the odd man out like I always do.. that would suck going and not even knowing anyone.. Oh well, it'll be fun though.
