Door handles finally shaved. Paint is in progress and the new Centerline wheels look sweet on silver.

Let me know what you think.

I installed 3" angled blocks in the rear and now the stance look better (lower is better) and the handling has improved with only on more inch (I tested it on the 110 Pasadena FWY, Lots of turns). I'll try to post pics soon. Paint is on hold for now. The weather is getting a bit hectic and we are also doing a suburban (TV's, DVD, PS1 and complete sound system with Soundstream Amps).

3" angled blocks in the rear. Now it looks level. But I plan to go 1" lower.

Well it's more than just looks, it also serves as security. It's pretty hard to break into a car if there is no door handles and even if they break the window they still can't open the door from inside because it's locked and I have no rod. Also minimizes the chance of me getting car jacked while I'm still in the car.

that or they'll just use the same crowbar they used to break the window to jimmy into the door. Makes it harder for amateurs, but if you're pimpin it out, only professionals will try anyway.

love to see it when it's finished. I've never seen anyone do that before.

I'm going to paint it Silver (fender and bed have been sprayed with the base color). As for pricing I got a quote from Sport Truck Specialties of $175 per door (that's just to shave it) but you have to buy the pullers (what opens the door) and install all that yourself and if you don't have an alarm you need to get at least a Keyless entry system to open the doors.

ok! so now let me get this right! you shave off the door handles? and now to open the door doent it act like "keyless entry" and it "pops" the doors open? but this is done by using a "motor" to pop the doors?? so if the batter goes dead in your truck how do you get in?? or did you run it off a extra battery incase thats happens? or what happens if you locked your keys in your car? cus i was thinking about doing this to my car! but i lock my keys in a lot when im in a hurry! and my batt goes from time to time!

im not tring to sound like **** when im asking all of these questions eather i am just wondering!
Thank for the info!

First I instaled silenoids (same ones that are used for the trunk) in the doors and hooked them up to the door mechanism. I am using the 2 extra channels on my Viper 300ESP alarm to open the door. Well as a precaution I wired up a switch to open the door in case I leave my keys inside. I kept the door lock just in case someone finds the switch and tries to open the door. I aslo plan to install a wire that can be pulled from behind the front fender to open the door manually just in case the batt dies, besides I have an Optima and up till now I have never had a problem with the batt going dead.

Im just not sure why youd spend so much money on such a cheap truck. Why not save that money and make yourself a nice down payment on a nice vehicle with more than a little 4 banger and some real power?

Because it's a reliable truck and don't be decieved by the 4 banger. This is one tough engine and fast with the right mods.

working on an older vehicle is great, you dont suffer the large depreciation of a new one, you have lots of parts available in the junk yards, and somethign like a truck, if he wants he could put a chevy 350 in the engine bay easily [Smile]

no payments make your stereo installs go much faster.. [Smile]
