I'm going to be competing down there this year. This will be my first year at SBN so I really don't know the happenings.

First of all if you don't already have reservation at a hotel get one now!!!! You don't want to show up without one.

Second...make the competitor's meeting. Last year they changed staging times and i wasn't announced until the competitor's meeting. Several people were sent home because they weren't where they were supposed to be. On that same note bring an alarm clock.

Third: Learn the back way to the ocean center, and leave early. If you've never been there then you can't imagine the number of people there that will clog the streets showing off their rides. This will also save you if you have to make a "quick" run back to your hotel for something.

Fourth: If you don't already have any contacts at manufacturer's this is the time to make them. After you've been judged, or before if you get the chance, go to the various manufacturer's TnT area and ask for help, even if you don't need it. This is a good way to get a little face time with various manufacturer's and to make a few allies that will pay back later.

Fifth: Unless you're into the cruising thing, head inland as soon as the show's over for the day if you're looking for restaurants and such. And if you need anything late night, there is a huge Wal-Mart, sam's club, and Lowe's in Daytona Beach that can help you out in a pinch.

This will be my fourth SBN. Prolly judging again this year. Good luck and try to have a little fun.
