from what i heard they will not be changing the new 2007 rules for the stock classes, NO membership from me its pretty sad cause i added runs of 1/0 wire towards the end of 06 season and now because i spent the $$ and time installing it im forced into a different class, id imagine some others as well nationally and internationally will do the same thing WTG fellas 2 thumbs up!!!!! IF theres a local show n thats a BIG IF i will attend not for IASCA but for local support IASCA FTL!!! Hello DBDRAG

whats so wrong with having different rules than other organizations? if all the rules were the same competing would eventually get boring i think.
I prefer dbdrag rules but variety is good.

i dont think thats the case,he can be competitive in just about any class, but the main thing is going up against people with battery banks in the prostock classes, and more cone area,he spent alot of time and money to be in the top of his stock class, and now he's put in a new division.its just a dissapointment to some, others it doesnt matter to.personally i told myself if IASCA didnt take the "extreme" installs out of Advanced,i too was done(luckily on my part they did).I think its rude on your part to make a smart a$$ comment because someone is expressing their diasapointment.i myself do not like the new stock or stockpro rules, but i dont compete in them as of now,so who cares, lol.

I understand where egg is coming from but we all have to rebuild to fit into the new classes. The rule will not have an effect if i will compete in that oraganization. the rules im sure are done up to keep the playing field even as much as possible. Im not going announce my retirement on there forums becuz they wouldnt change the rules for me. Im sure the rules were not meant for ust one person. Im sure egg has time and money in his set up as well, we all do, I run in Advance class were you never have enough money to build. there is an easy fix for egg, his deal is the runs of power to his amps. there are other aps out there that only take a single run of power and will put out the same power. I know a ton of people that has to rebuild but they are not all over the forums telling IASCA if they dont change the rules they quit. Mostly everyone waited for the rules to come out so they can build there vehicle. Now that the rules are out its time to get busy for SBN.

good point...its fun winning local comps and placing in the top 10 in the world for your class but deep down theres always the thought that if you were in dbdrag you would be getting spanked.

1)werent the rules "fair on an even playing field" last season??? well not for the rookies but they made a class for them 2)I never said im gonna retire on that forum I will still attend LOCAL IASCA shows IF there is any just for LOCAL support not iasca Do I think they'll change the rules just for me?? No I dont!!! Im just expressing my oppinions, this didnt only affect ME it affects alot of people. I just cant wait till a rookie comes to a show for the first time who has mutiple runs of 1/0 wire and 1 amp with dual 1/0 guage inputs on power and ground on there amp and is sent to prostock class and goes up against an suv with 4 amps and a bank of batteries, do you really think he/she will attend another event??? I highly doubt it 3)My biggest stink is yes they changed the runs, ok thats fine. Pushed me and others into stockpro class where we would have to compete against someone who has unlimited batteries and larger cone area--->wheres the "even playing field" there for me or anyone else not building to just iasca rules??? Yes i can rebuild to there rules but im not gonna. I planned on competing in multiple orgs for this season not just iasca. Yeah sure, ill go out and get a bank of batts and install it, than hit a few shows come back home take the bank of batts out to hit another orgs show nope aint happenin Like smithers said he sees my point and so do many others, again for those in advanced or extreme classes it doesnt matter to them but for those of us that it does affect, it does matter and as far as me posting my opinions on iasca's new rules or anything about iasca on any other forums i will keep posting them up to show how iasca treats its members.

First off it is IASCA and will be called just that.
I can understand your disappointment that the rules did not work in your favor, however this happens in almost every organization every year. Not everyone can be happy.
There is a simple solution to your problem, and maybe you should contact one of the judges to see if this would be legal. Why not simply disconnect and tape off all but one of your runs of power or ground wires? I'm not sure if that would work but it would be worth a try to simply ask. Also what would you do if dB Drag all of a sudden decided to only let one run of wire in Street Division?
