I have a few questions about IASCA points. My wife is competing in stk1 and we went to her first show saturday. She got 2nd and it was a 2x show. She is not a IASCA member so does she still get the points? Do you have to be a member to go to finals? And how many points do you get for what places? And how many points do you need to get to go to finals?

IASCA doesn't do points like DB Drag. They don't keep up with non-members at all. So basically you are not in the system at all. Once you become a member then they start to track points.
In the end though, seriously, I doubt it will matter once a finals is announced. There are not enough shows to get the 35 points plus a TKE unless you just happen to live real close to a very select few areas (like you do SPL and live in NY), or live near Image Dynamics in California.

actually i think points are for the top 10 spots. 1st place = 10 pts 2nd place =9 pts ... and so on down. seeing he lives in NC that means your in region 1,and there are plenty of chances to hit shows within that region, starting with SVR in a few weeks.if you are serious about becomming a member, call iasca headoffice and tell them your situation, last year i did the same thing, joined about 2 weeks late, they gave me the points,so theres 18 points for ya

I am good friends with Terry Floyd. He is the head judge in our area. He dose most of the shows on the east coast. I won't be seeing him agian for a while. We just got second at a 2x show like I was saying ealier. I guess I will just have to call Terry and ask him.

come on defj get your head your of your a$$ and keep up w/ the changing times. You can get credit for your points if u become a member w/ in so many days after the show. keep your score sheet if they have any quetions. but your best bet would be to call the home office and talk to paul or chris
