i remember like 2 years ago there were soo many iasca shows down here.. sound advice n whatnot.. now all there is is one up in jax.. why the hate?

Last year Sound Advice switched to SLAP. I don't know how many shows they are having this year. I was also sad to see them drop IASCA. The shows were always a good time with quite a bit of attendence and there was one at least once a month if not two. I hope before the end of the year we get to see some more shows in FL especially central Florida.

IASCA doesn't hate Florida - in fact it's based in Daytona.
The Sound Advice events switched to SLAP because of their parent company. Many of the IASCA events were paired with SA shows so the promoter, who came from Alabama, could do two in a weekend, and double up for competitors.
Independent shops have also started to hold non-sanctioned events instead of sanctioned ones. Should ask them why they stopped. Not the members on the forum...
