I just recieved the new car audio, it was really nice of them to take all those pictures of us SPLers LOL What a JOKE ! Not one picture of the SPL part of IASCA ! You wonder why nobody competes in the SPL Format, well let me tell ya, #1 No coverage for us #2 Audio controls suck Im not bashing IASCA so dont take it that way, somebody just need to stand BACK and see the light, cause as a consumer, a retailer and a manufacture it does us no good, when there isnt any coverage and we all are doing pritty much the same numbers

Guys, bear in mind Paul's got no stroke where it comes to what ends up in print. For those of you going to CES - pick up CarSound. I know at least one or two of the finals pieces cover the SPL side of things. (Ahh to work for a magazine that doesn't alter what's submitted).
And Chris, your sig is a smidge big, but whuptee do. Consider the source of that criticism - a nobody wanna be coulda been who didn't - and discard it as quickly as you would his claims that he'd have placed at finals "if" ...

I thought it was amazing, how out of all the pictures in the mag of finals coverage, not one covered any SPL competitors. And there were SPL vehicles there much more visually appealing than that of some of the vehicles pictured. I guess I should be lucky that my name appeared in the mag at all.

hey Ben was my name in there???? i havent ben able to locate the mag yet.
Krissa i know Paul has nothing to do with the mags but damn IASCA isnt just sq anymore the idbl part of the organization draws some of the biggest names in the biz. and its a crying shame we dont get the reconning that sq does.I enter my spl truck in the tunner jam every year and i place with it , and im sure if chriss enterd his van he would do as well as i. Honestly if you got beef with it, then you need to EMAIL that magazine and complain. It's not in IASCA's hands who or what is placed in any car audio magazines as far as event coverage/photos.

But IASCA can put pressure on the mags to perform a complete writeup on their Finals.
Iasca can also voice their disappointment to the mags. I'm sure it won't fall on deaf ears.

Andrew, I write for the mags. Have for nearly four years now.
Some publications had a nasty habit of changing what I wrote to make it wrong, and fit their view of what should be published. Anytime someone complained, they ended up getting less later. I don't work for these anymore for a reason.
Any complaints will fall on deaf ears, or vindictive ones.

the month before they had an article "roadtrip to Sonoma" and they had about 5 or so pages of an IASCA + Car show there. Again, no IDBL pics.....i won my class at that show, not to mention loudest car there (no extremers showed up) and didnt get a thumbnail in the corner somewhere.......nor did the other competitors. Only the SQ guys got some love.
Im not gonna bitch though, i got mine this month , but the other fellas that were there that day should have got at least a little somethin - it is a STEREO mag before its a car show mag after all.

Ditto... I was loudest of show at the two TKE here in So.Cal. and nadda... not even a blip... You would think that a single 12 beating a wall with three 15's would make some noise... guess not...
Kudos on the write up BTW...
***In no way shape or form is this a bytch session about IASCA. I'm just expressing my frustrations with CA&E on a public forum. ***

Letters to the editor, suggest they cover both halves of these events. Contrary to popular belief, there are some great looking SPL cars and they're missing out on where at least half the action is.
Talk to your manufacturers who advertise, ask them to ask the mags to cover the SPL side as well as SQ.

I think this forum alone has enough guys (and a few girls) that are more than willing to voice their opinions on over looking us "knuckle draggers".

I swear… you must be THE most anti-straight answer person I have ever chatted with (since I can’t say I know you… you didn’t go to finals (yet another poke )
Knowing that SPL guys are inherently lazy and yet you still will not give us a straight answer… UGHHHH.

I think Casey is a good guy to go to since he does photos and write ups and testing. He was with X-Fire prior...so tell him you know him from that. Most DB shows that get write-ups, advertise X-Fire, whether it's someone winning w/ X-Fire or showing the X-Fire spirit.. Just some hints
