there are not many shows because nobody's asking the retailers to have them, or the retailers see no value in it. That's marketing IASCA's going to have to do.
I know that from a manufacturers stand point joining IASCA was just to much money for an organization that wanted much more and has no shows in the area.I think we have done alot for the sport in this area but we had to leave IASCA out becuase of the expenses involved.

That's marketing all the organizations should be trying to do! While USACi seems to be enjoying great numbers of shows, they should all be looking to the future a bit more.
In my very humble opinion, if there is anything that the organization heads can do as a collaborative effort, it would be to sit down together and attempt to find a better way to market what they offer to the retailers in this industry. In this respect, there is no difference between the competition organizations. If all of these alleged leaders would have a "sit-down" and just deal with the problems and climb the hills they all need to climb, maybe there wouldn't be a need for discussions regarding "co-located", "unified" or some other form of hand holding events.
Here's a bizarre thought ... maybe if the organizations would consider applying some collaborative effort to the hosting or sanctioning of more parking lot shows, some of the manufacturers that are now spending their money on tuner shows would once again see the merits of showing their wares at all of our Finals events.
Flame away.
