Chuck, I let Chris know (he's at lunch) and I'm sure he'll check into it, but I know he spent most of the morning going through the score sheets to get that stuff uploaded.

are world finals an accurate barometer of the iasca, because i know just form the one show i attended, at least 2 people there would have placed in the top 3 in there respective categories. im just sayin that for the most, are competitors from world finals most from the area? or do you get tons of people from all over? also, how many people per class were there? dont wanna ruffle any feathers, just asking an innocent question.

The list I posted was everyone that competed. Some that paid and registered did not show up. I saw people from Washington and California but mostly from say Texas and eastwards.
Just a thought but whoever you think may have done well is wishful thinking. We never know until after the ceremony. Previous results mean nothing at the finals. Everyone is working to improve their sound by finals. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I learned long ago to never think of how good I may do.

i know, i just thought i would ask cause many people would love to compete for a "world" title, but cant afford to take off work, or spend thousands of dollars getting half way across the country. so when someone has won a "world" title in a class, i dont think they should be considered a world champion. just my $.02

What? you dont make sense, because you cant afford to go to world finals, you dont think the people who bust their butts to get there and win dont deserve to be a world champion. ROFL!!!!! You have a lot to learn.

I think they deserve it. If someone doesn't take the time off work and don't put the effort in then they will not be a "world champion".. there were alot of people from Canada as well so it wasnt just a local show.. and if anyone thinks they could have beaten people there, then they should have gone.. but just to meantion.. that mic that was used seemed to be approx. 3-4 db's down from a tight classic termlab, and about 3 db's down from a normal audiocontrol.. and only about 1 db higher than the new termlab..

May as well beat your head on a brick wall with this one guys. He didn't even become an IASCA member so his stats from his one show reflect anything but "non-member" when he got lucky enough the judge didn't put him in his proper class.
He's a malicious little forum troll. We all need to stop feeding him. One day he may become a true competitor and learn some sportsmanship, but I advise none of you to hold your breath.
Chalk up another closed thread to boomin.
