Steve i just found this on the Iasca website:
-The Stock Class will limit 1 amplifier and 1 capacitor per subwoofer and no more than 1 additional battery to be utilized.

So looks like i will be in stock 261+ That or i can jump up and go in your class?? HEHE

I just talked with one of the guys from Positive Ent. (promoter for Extreme AutoFest) and here is the scoop.

Move in time for show cars 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday night (09/06/03).
Move in time for Audio competitors 6:00 am to 9:00 am Sunday morning (09/07/03).

Enter at Gate 1.

You'll be in Stock 3. There is a car show component to the event, but to the best of my knoweldge SLAP and IASCA aren't doing shows at the same venues this season and IASCA has an exclusive contract with Extreme Autofest.

- Do the IASCA rules allow for a competitor to enter a class a level above their correct class?

Thanks

Hey there Josh, I doubt it, but I wanted to know what the rule for this is anyway.

If I can get caught up on the projects around here I might.

I was thinking about following you into whatever class you sign up for... [Razz]

Q, nope. You'll get reclassed into the proper class. Now, if you say, had sponsors, you would automatially be advanced.

Its possible, and here is why… Iasca does have a deal with Extreme Autofest, however… Sound Looks and Performance has a very similar deal with the NHRA. The show in Sonoma is Extreme Autofest in conjunction with the NHRA… So, it is very possible…

However in looking at Slap’s website, it has been removed from their calendar.

Scott, Ya gotta go man… and get a hold of Mr. Miguel too (who doesn’t look at his PM’s in this forum)

I too had to skip out, I didn’t have crap finished… my kick pods are still rough bondo, I have no amps wired up, no sub box built…
I had this crazy idea that I could turn my truck in to a SQ vehicle in less than a month only building on nights and weekends… I’ll be lucky to have it done for the beginning of the 2004 season.

all i know is when the big dogs stay home, the "medium" dogs get to take home firsts....

thanks guys!!

P.S. Slap didnt show.......good thing because days grow long enough at these comps i can only handle one at a time. Nothin like competing at a huge car show with cars doing 7's and 8's at the q-mile track in the background. Those cars are UNREAL.........

CALI: i copied/pasted this from another post i had so i wouldnt have to type it again.......this is what happened, oh ya, im in stock 3 so the first place # was 148.4

it was crazy, i only did a 147.8 the first run and i was like WTF @#$%. But then i saw all the other people in the low 40's high 30's so i figured oh well, if the mics are tight for me, same for everyone. Then this suburban came thru and did a 148 and knocked me outa first. So i went again and did a 148........now its time for a tie breaker. He comes thru and does a 148.3 and i was sure i couldnt get him but i went thru anyway, bammmmmmmmm, 148.4

he goes thru right away (paid 5 more dolla's) to try to take it back.........slammmmmmmm, 145.7- It was crazy, i thought i was in Vegas at the blackjack table, you know the feeling you get when you have $50 on the table and you have a 19 and the dealer is showing a facecard. You just cant be too sure till its over if you got the win. FUN!

IMO my electrical system won it for me, because i can do this ALL DAY LONG with no problems, most people cant.

so let the record show, from mic to mic, comp to comp, my score fluctuates from 145ish (new termlabs) all the way to 153.3 (a/c) and even a 156.8 on a HIGH ASS METER. Yesterday was a 148 day, what can i say. What matters most in the end is the end result.

oh ya, the 145ish on the termlabs is probably 146-147ish now.......ive done more work since woodland.....like added a second bd1500 and some box work yadayada.....

hey whudya expect for 36hz? I personally would like to see a class geared toward street bumpin' SPL right along side the one note monsters so my 36-40hz numbers will be more than just "too low a note for SPL comps".........anyway enuf ramblin im out. [Cool]
